A New Season, A New Site

Fundraising site that is! With the winter training season now officially underway, I decided it was time to get my donations page up to date and functional. The new page can be accessed from the “Support the Cause” link above, or by going to http://www.active.com/donate/tntsvmb/jamiec directly. I’m looking forward to a great season with a new team, new events, and (most importantly) new cycling gear! (Hey – they cut the arm warmers off of me after my crash! I am entitled to new cold weather gear!) If you seen them haven’t already, expect emails from me soon. Gotta start that fundraising early, right?!

Our first team ride is this weekend. Since my doctor’s appointment isn’t until next Monday, I am officially signed up to be roaming SAG instead. When I’m riding, I always love to see the SAG folks out and about; it should be fun to be on the other side of the coin. Granted, riding is probably still more fun – but I’ve gotta take what I can get! Oh – and remember your donations are 100% tax deductible and go to support a great cause!

What do we have here?

An often sarcastic, occasionally humorous journal of my training adventures in preparation for the Livestrong century ride. I took up cycling back in '07 in hopes of meeting new people, and, with the help of Team in Training, making my small positive difference in the world -- and haven't stopped spinning since. Follow along as my Trek road bike and I try and hash out our differences, hopefully with me upright and in the saddle.
